Canoe trip in Võlla bog.

A bog is not a swamp. It is a 108-square-kilometer moss mountain that is like a large sponge full of water. In olden times, there were manors around the bog where the right of the first night applied.

Day 1: Virgins's hunt - a tractor takes us to the edge of the moor and after 2 km of hiking several moor lakes can be seen. After that we continue our tour by canoes. The moor contains thousands of small interconnected lakes. We return to the farm following the same route. Lunch. Sauna.

Day 2: Breakfast. Introduction to the Stahl-Holstein heritage. An overview of the legacy of Staël–Holstein. Stahl–Holstein who was born here, worked and died in Beijing as a personal advisor of the emperor of China. A visit to a place of sacrifice.

Guard of the Rings: Viruna Campfire Masters

In the mists of time, when our ancestors engaged in honest piracy, there was a need to relay urgent messages – this was done by the Coast Guard (Rannapapp) with fire and smoke. Who is coming, friend or foe?

Viruna Farm is built on the ruins of the Sthal Holstein hunting lodge and is located in the midst of nature reserves, as an agricultural oasis. Sheep, a heifer, and chickens-dogs keep the surroundings accessible.

Clothing and footwear must be appropriate for the weather.

Schedule

1. We'll take a look at the sleeping Neitsiraba (Virgin Bog) and look for signs of spring, animal tracks, and much more of interest.

2. We will build a bonfire at Circle of Oaks. Everyone can make their own fire. You can cast your fire-offering into the living flame and craft a 'luck-keeper'. We will also brew tea over the fire using ingredients gathered during the hike.
